Broke from my old pipe venture this morning because I just wanted a nice easy long smoke. Did get adventurous and mixed a small batch of Cult BRM 50/50 with SWR. In my huge Don Carlos 2 note. This is smoking really well. The SWR has kicked up the taste level of the BRM and the BRM has sweetened the Sir Walter. A good combo with morning coffee.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Astley’s No. 44 in a smooth slight bend dark brown 1940s-1950s Comoy’s Blue Riband 228C prince with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Niblick's Royal House oom paul prompted me to reach into the nether-regions of the cabinet and bring out this one and fill it with some good ol' Presbyterian Mixture - it makes for a good long smoke. It's stamped Arlington which according to pipedia was a New York pipe maker from 1919 until possibly the 1970's. They apparently made pipes under many brand names, including supposedly Wilke and Jobey, and pipes actually branded Arlington are rather rare. I actually have two; the little Dublin was gifted to me by a special chum. It's a bit smaller than the pipes I prefer today, but it does have some amazing bird's eye...

Back to my old pipe new tobacco venture. Boswells North Woods in a 70s vintage Jobey bent billiard with amber stem. Don't usually smoke Lat blends in the am but this is good stuff. Nice and tasty but not overly strong. Good with French Vanilla coffee.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, trout and green beans dinner with strawberries and cherries for dessert. I'm not far from finishing this bowl of Watch City Beta Test Blend #1 in a 2013 straight black sandblasted Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baker Street with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite fish tail stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Reds game while making review notes for this blend, which I'll compare to the second version soon.

Opened a tin of Sutliff Crumble Kake Red Virginia and rubbed it all out. Smells lovely! Just repacked my Castleford Pot with it. This will be my first time trying this tobacco. Sipping a non-alcoholic IPA and watching some a TTRPG D&D game on twitch.

A third of the way through this bowl of Watch City Beta Test Blend #2 in a 2003 URAL full bend big bowl egg shaped Lattice meer with a black acrylic saddle stem. Just fed the feral cats, who were very pleased to see the food and me, in that order.

Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am almost half way through this bowl of Watch City Rhythm & Blues in a straight smooth brown 1920s-30s Sasieni patent 8 dot Marborough lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Going to work now.

Now Smoking LJ Peretti Blend D-9507 in Charatan's Make Perfection Deluxe Acorn. Mmm, this is lovely. "Rich, cured Virginia, blended with fine Dubeck Turkish." I'll be buying more of this blend! Watching RiffTrax while organizing a bunch of Peretti blends in jars.
