One more quick bowl of 2024 Mix in the MM Cob then I need to make dinner and feed the dogs. They seem to have an atomic click built in for mealtime.
Chez is laying down moaning like death is upon him from starvation.
Pouring out so no meteor showers for me tonight.
Sounds like Chez has you trained.;)I know Goober, my cat, does.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, snapper and sugar snap peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm just finishing this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

It took forever to finish my last pipe. We rearranged our coffee counter to accommodate the new bread maker, did evening chores, I returned a call from a friend, and, we ate dinner. I'm working on my after dinner smoke, GLP Westminster in a bent MM Washington Rob Roy along with a cup of Oolong tea.

Now smoking year 2010 Amphora Original (Brown) in a full bend barley sandblast Peterson 125th Anniversary 1898-2023 No. 172/330 302 brandy military mount with a silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip saddle stem. Watching a Gene Autry movie.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2013 Capstan Blue Ready Rubbed in a smooth dark brown post-WWII Comoy’s Grand Slam 340 patent billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Sleepy Suzy is still by my side. Tomato the Brave is snoozin' and snorin' by my feet.

Slice of whiskey twist in the Butz. Strong stuff. Think I'm catching a little buzz.
Finished cleaning up the first pipe for my friend Wayne's Christmas gift. Upside down British. Pic below
Going to go through the box of sad pipes and find one for the future son in law and refurbish it for his Christmas gift.
He's a retired Coast Guard vessel inspector and now works at the state as an emergency manager. Good man and an old school pipe smoker. Captain Black original is his favorite. Got him a lighter to go with the pipe. Pic below
I'm also gifting him 24 1oz samples of tobacco in little jelly jars from my stash.
If he's still here next year he'll get a birth year pipe for Christmas and a pound of his favorite tobacco.

Fed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave as I enjoyed a tasty Snap Dragon apple. I've passed the fist third of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I may end the day with this smoke.

Couldn't sleep, so I'm up and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a 1991 Ashton Brindle X straight brown sandblast dublin with a square shank and tapered square acrylic cumberland stem.

It’s the saddest of days here. I dropped my Ascorti bulldog and broke the stem off it. I threw it away. I don’t have the energy to fool with it, I have enough pipes to last the rest of my days. I remember when I bought it at a pipe shop in a shopping center some 50 years ago. It was the most I had paid for a pipe up to that point $60. It was always a favorite and I’m gonna miss it but life goes on. May she rest in peace.

Good morning BoB, our cold snap broke last night. I had a bowl of EGR in the Cobbler with my morning coffee. I'm ruminating over my next pipe, Pegasus seems like a good choice, in my Rossi Lumberman. Our government has finally stepped up and ordered Canada Post and CUPW to get to the table and sort out their schitt, or else be legislated back to work. There should be an end to this strike by the end of next week...one way or the other. I would drop everything and go work there if I had the benefits and pension thay already have, their basic wage is equal to my own. Some people are just too greedy for their own good.

Starting off my smoking day with a bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. All cats were fed except for the absent Abner the Eager. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
