After a great Christmas dinner with the family, I smoked a Rocky Patel Vintage 1992. Now it's SG BBF in a Pietenpauw.

What passed as MY smoking corner in the back room now has a 6 1/2 foot cat tower where MY smoking chair used to sit.

I am currently engaged in finding out if G&H Best Brown #2 can be made to bite when puffed furiously ina MM Dane.

Starting this Long Island NY BLIZZARD Sunday with a rich bowl of Piperoom's (no longer available and soon to be out) Black Watch. Sandwiched in like an Oreo cookie is last evenings unsmoked dottle of Three Oaks Syrian. This afternoon my yet unchosen blend will be accompanied by a Jim Beam bourbon chaser. As my signature states, I never toss unsmoked tobacco. Today my pipe is a cheap drugstore Whitehall Balmoral briar billiard that smokes just great. The beauty of a good smoke is the tobacco in the bowl. A good briar bowl and a vulcanite stem previously cleaned with a brandy soaked pipecleaner is always a win-win for me.

Busy pipe smoking day.. Esoterica Margate in my Bent Canterbury then MB Navy Flake in my Wally Frank LTD Rhodesian,1/2 and 1/2 in the Bent Canterbury.
Heading outside with some Erinmore Flake in my MM Great Dane Spool.. Whew.. Its been all good..

... the SG Chocolate Flake does so well when it drys out well.. Can't wait for it to be on the market again...

What's so remarkable is that given the lack of availability in the states coupled with the high enjoyment factor derived from SG wares, they remain a helluva bargain dollar wise when they are available!

Busy day, no time since that flake of SG Chocolate to truly savor a bowl, so I'm getting by with plenty of PA in either a Marxman Captain of one of the cobs.

I am waiting for a week then going to order a Diplomat from MM.. I like the looks of their freehand also but going to spread the cob buying out. Love the Spool for flake burning .. Or PA ... Great pipes..

At this moment I'm enjoying Balkan Sasieni in a giant smooth oom paul. I hope my pipe lasts about an hour and a half because then my *** goes outside to clear snow from a long driveway. A daunting task I have to prepare myself to accomplish. The reward will be the afternoon smoke. Driveway's done and lunch is digesting. Just about ready to fire up the oom paul with a load of Wilderness. Never can enjoy too much Latakia.
