Didn't care for the book. Didn't care for the movie.

Not a movie, but after watching the Godfather series I've now been hooked into this -

Still in the first season but it grabbed me from the get-go. No I didn't have whatever cable or TV program at the time it was first broadcast.

Pretty good. The music was great. No idea how accurate the story line was but Elton was the executive producer so apparently he had final say. While I enjoyed it there were a few scenes I could've done without.

As long as we’re including “binge watching” via smart TV...

After going through many complete series like Bosch, Father Brown, iZombie and MANY more, I found The Dresden Files.  You know...Harry Dresden, the Wizard Detective series?  I didn’t like it much when it was ‘live’ but it seems to be ringing a bell now.

Of course now that I just finished re-reading the book I'd have to re-watch the movie-

That was followed by this SiFi classic-

The special effects in this 50's presentation were far beyond any of the cheesy horror/SiFi flicks of that era. Still impressive to this day. My copy had been color enhanced since it was originally released in B&W, but it was done tastefully. Gotta love Ann Francis in this!

Just finished the FX show Justified. A look at the criminals and US Marshals in Kentucky, for those who have not seen it.

Just finished the very last episode in the series. Gotta say I found every episode compelling and well done. Not so sure about the final scene though as well as one incident in the previous episode that seemed to contradict. Perhaps I missed some little detail which is not hard to do since everything moves so fast at times.

I watched all these through the courtesy of my library but will now consider buying the DVD set.

OK you lunkheads...get off yer butts and go to a REAL movie!

My boy took me to a movie for my birthday.  I suggested “Knives Out” a whodunit without peer.  So that’s what we saw.  The whole dang family marched down there and loved it. Amazing. Incredible.  Belly laugh fun.  Twists and turns.  A murdered millionaire patriarch. A contested will. A hottie heroine.  A hunky hero.  Knives. Poison.  Smart dogs.

Really.  Go see it.

BTW:  movie popcorn + peanut m&m’s...together.  KILLER MOVIE TREAT!
