Laugh if you want, but I've recently been devouring all the episodes of this old 60's B&W series-
Used to love watching this back when I was knee high to a grasshopper, and decided to get in the complete series courtesy of my local library. I had no idea they had so many episodes but I'm about halfway through them after several weeks of 4 half-hr episodes/night!
Supposedly there were 224 episodes filmed over a 6 year period. That makes 37 episodes/yr which seems like a lot! Yet the acting and plots never flagged or became tired, at least so far!
Walter Brennan for all his age is indefatigable! He's perfect in the role of Grandpa McCoy. In fact the whole show is perfect as it tells a story of a much simpler and more innocent life. And I for one long for those times!
Cheers,
RR
