    Pre-smoke enjoyment of tobacco

Kinda like a fine Cuban cigar rolled on the inner thigh of a beautiful maiden. Only not!

    Jarring Day!

Invest in a good coleman cooler or six. All my tins and boxes go into those. In the long run it is cheaper than the equal space of jars, maybe not quite as space efficient. And it is so much fun when you dig to the bottom and find something you bought years ago and forgot about.

    McClelland 2015 VA/PER Flake Review

Back when I last returned to the pipe, 2015 was the only vaper that I smoked. As Carlos said, it was the topic of many pipe discussion threads. And it was an amazing bargain, 5 lbs could be had for $80 or even less if you shopped. Lately PSLNF has edged it out in my rotation but I still have...

Tried 3 new "Chocolate" type blends.

MacBarens Honey & Chocolate is a very pleasant chocolate aero if you are looking for another.

    Half and Half

The country general store near our cabin always has a tin of Half and Half on the shelf. I am tempted to give it a try every time I am going through the checkout.

Storage - Do you jar your flake?

Any true bulk in bags that I buy I jar immediately, my preferred jar is an 8-oz Ball widemouth jam jar, I usually get close to 100gm per jar. Bulk that comes in a package like PS, SG, Esoterica, etc goes into a Coleman cooler. Same as I store my cigars except I don't usually humidify the pipe...

    Anyone live in/near Springfield, Mo?

Missouri in general is great. We live in Kansas but bought property in MO and intend to move, spend most weekends there now. We are about an hour north of Springfield but have not specifically gone down there in a while, I pass through pretty often on business and usually stop for lunch or a...

    Sorringowl

Sorringowl: Bought a Stanwell pipe from him. Excellent deal and it arrived by UPS within a couple of days. Highly recommended.

    My morning smoke....

Mike, sorry for your troubled times and very sorry for the passing of your friend. Family and friends are what will get your through these rough spots. The solitude of a pipe is an excellent way to reflect and appreciate all the good things, but it is the companionship that makes them happen in...

    Obsidian Pipe Stem Oil

Got a free bottle of the Obsidian Stem Oil with my recent Ferndowns - Pipes2Smoke may become my new favorite etailer!!!. Tried it on the new pipes plus a couple of older ones and so far I like what I am seeing. Time will tell.

    Ferndown fever

That's the one I originally called to order, then I asked about a billiard and he found one that had not even been put up on the website yet, so it came along for the ride as well.

    Ferndown fever

MrE, the 2 I bought from Atwageman did happen to be a Canadian and an octagonal paneled Dublin. Both superb pipes. I found the fit on the stem to shank on the Canadian to be fine, but curiously the shank was rotated just a couple of degrees counter clockwise. Artifact of being handmade I would...

    Ferndown fever

Here are pics of the 2 new ones, a billiard and an apple. The apple is the first I have had with a brindle stem on a dark rusticated finish, my others are more the classic Dunhill cumberland. This photo is a bit over exposed so the brindle pops more than it does in real life, a little more...

    Ferndown fever

I just received 2 new Ferndowns from Pipes2Smoke. The 2 that I bought here on BoB from Atwageman primed the pump, and now I have four. Really really really nice classic English pipes. Effortless smoking as well, seem to draw themselves. I know, pics required. Have to get out the camera and...

Five Things Every Man Should Have in His Pockets

Yes, actually the 5.11 cargo pants have pretty much become my daily wear in lieu of jeans.

Five Things Every Man Should Have in His Pockets

My EDC's include a lighter (sometimes Zippo, more often lately my Xikar soft flame, although the zippo is the true multi-fueler in the lighter world), knife, Surefire flashlight, wallet, keys and cell phone. My Xikar cutter is often included as well. I also usually carry my Timbuk2 but that is...

    Led Zeppelin's Black Dog

I would both agree and disagree with Rob. Regarding the notation etc, Page got his start as a studio guitarist who couldn't read music, so I don't imagine he was the one who would put all this down on paper. However, regarding the planning and analysis, I fully imagine they (he) knew exactly...
