Good morning BoB!
Today I'm having more of the Lane Hazelnut / Sutliff Chocolate Mousse mixture in my mm cob. Its growing on me, though I'll be glad to be rid of it once its all smoked.
I won a pipe in an auction for around 1/3rd of the normal sale price. Its a Bjarne Viking Copenhagen 117 and I'm excited to get busy smoking it. I definitely prefer straight stems but beggers can't be choosers and I'm happy to be smoking something other than a cob. I think this will end up being my latakia pipe.
It's the pipe and fancy green tea for breakfast as usual and I'm listening to an audiobook recording of Charles Emerson's 1913, In Search Of The World Before The Great War.
Work is steady and not stressful, thank God.

A touch of chill in the air this morning as the earth turns on its axis towards winter. I’ve seen only one small buck today. Smoking my MM Bent Gent with PA. This thing has become just an awesome smoker. No plans for today, anxiously waiting for my 74 YO bride to come Tuesday

A third of the way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. M'lady fed all the ferals except for the still absent Abner the Eager. She fed Sleepy Suzy and Molly Danger, too, although Suzy wanted more food when I got up. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

@JimInks, any news of Abner the Eager?
I'm afraid not. I know he goes to at least one other place, which may be his original and regular home, and perhaps he is there. The last time he hurt his paw, he was gone for almost two weeks. There was another time when he hurt his hip, and he disappeared for a while. Animals tend to hide when they are hurt for self protection, so I assume that is what he's doing.

I've seen that, too, hopefully he turns out to be okay.

A third of a bowl left of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. An off diet lunch follows this smoke. Watching Mad Dog Russo.

Enjoyed three big plates of spaghetti and meatballs topped with cheddar cheese with a hot fudge sundae for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2008 Astley’s No. 109 in a straight smooth dark brown year 1926 Parker Super Bruyere patent 3 63/F lovat with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Just finished drinking Gold Star Papua New Guinea, neat. I got four tins of C&D Christmas blends and a KBV blend to review today, so I've been matching meers to them.

Now smoking and reviewing C&D Kringle’s Delight (Winter Reserve 2024) in a 1980s White Pipe straight, smooth octagonal paneled billiard meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. I got four C&D Christmas blends to review this afternoon. Dunno when they go on sale.

After a hectic day I've got my brother off for the weekend on a date. I'm going to to smoke this Vanilla Custard in a Seville Burgandy Lucite I just picked up. I feel like a dessert smoke because I have to wash eggs. Lots of eggs.
My ducks decided they didn't want to lay in their house. They all waddled up the plank into the chicken's nesting boxes and got mud on everything. Super cute but...It will take a while to clean them. Looks to be a multi bowl task for these eggs.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken primavera and sugar snap peas dinner with a bowl of freshly made chocolate pudding for dessert. I'm smoking and reviewing C&D Kringle’s Delight (Winter Reserve 2024) in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. It's too humid for coffee tonight, so my drink is ice water and bergs. Watching the World Series with Sleepy Suzy by my side.

My next door neighbor told me that she saw Abner the Eager in her yard yesterday, and he looked fine to her. She didn't know about his paw, and wasn't close enough to tell anything, but at least I know he was around.

My room smells amazing. I'm jarring up my half of the monthly order I do with a friend. Lots of new blends to try.
I'm watching Ballerina on Netflix (One of the best opening fight scenes ever. A can of pineapple is the highlight)
Going to smoke one of them now. Bayou Night in this Harden Court and then have a piece of chocolate.
